My name is Mike Jadoo. I am part of a committee that is putting together an online conference on using data science to analyze the spread of COVID-19. We are looking for machine learners, bioinformaticians, epidemiologists, and statisticians .
We are accepting abstracts to the “Data Science Conference on COVID-19” (DSCC-19) to be held on August 28th from 10:00am to 5:30pm (https://sites.google.com/view/dscc-19/home).
In this conference we aim to present how Data Science has joined the fight against COVID-19.
Data science is a very valuable tool that scientists and governments are using to analyze the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and its outcomes.
Many great applications are emerging at a very fast pace and we are providing an opportunity for others to present their work.
The submission deadline for abstracts is Thursday, August 13th. Presentations will explore epidemic models of the virus and the pandemics affect on the economy, transportation, the environment, the society and beyond.
The link to the call for abstracts is here: https://rb.gy/32oagf
As of right now we are planning to have 3 sessions for one hour each. Each presenter will have 10 to 15 minutes to present their paper. This schedule may change as we get close to the event day.
Registration is free and open to everyone to attend. To register for this event click this eventbrite link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/online-data-science-conference-on-covid-19-dscc-19-tickets-112164248286
